I am so eager to teach your children in the 2017-2018 school year. This is an exciting year for the entire Milford Mill community as changed leadership at both the Principle and Department Head levels. Your children should be proud as they will be apart of our transition toward greatness.
As for me, I am finally pursuing my dream as a full-fledged teacher. For years, I have wrestled with the idea and researched teacher programs only to decide every time that it was not the right season. While attending Towson University, I worked for the state and local governments as a Career Counselor, hosting workshops in job search techniques and rèsumè writing strategies. Upon graduation with a BA in Sociology and Psychology, I accepted a position as a data analyst / statistician for the Maryland Prison System. During my tenure there, I found a program I thought would finally catapult me to accomplish my goal to teach.
Five years ago I completed the Baltimore City Teaching Residency program and now am fully certified to teach any Secondary Math Course. In the past, I have taught in both Columbia and Baltimore City; now I get to apply my teaching skills to your loved ones and I am beyond enthusiastic. Similar to the environment that your students are already accustomed to, I have a facilitator style of teaching. In a digital and high tech age, information is everywhere and I certainly don’t believe that I am the proprietor of all things math. Math is attainable from many avenues and I would like to assist your teen in their quest toward self-sufficiency.
